Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk (the capital of Belarus) was an eldest daughter of Sergey. Sergey was a player in the hockey league. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5, 1998, in Minsk Belarus. In her career she has had 12 WTA singles titles, including the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. When it comes to doubles, she's the best player. She's taken home two Majors alongside Elise Mertens including the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. With the Belgian tennis champion, the Belgian also took home an award called the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells and Miami in the year 2019, making an appearance in the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. In 2021 on the 23rd of August she climbed to the second spot in the world singles ranking the highest position she had ever reached in January 2023. In doubles however she pushed her way to the top on February the following year, following the win in Melbourne being the first tennis player born in Belarus to make it in the sport of doubles. She was trained by an ex- Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season, and then again at the beginning of 2020. It was also a short time that she teamed up with Dieter Kindlmann during the months of August through September of 2020. She is being trained by her countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Her top idols include Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
